April through November are our most popular times, but we do flights in winter too (rolling farmlands covered in snow is incredibly beautiful and the ride is warmer than you might think).
Sunrise and sunset flights occur daily from our location in Lancaster County, PA (weather-dependent). Check our availability and book online here.

From start to finish, the entire experience is roughly 2.5-3 hours (including transportation from the landing spot back to launch site). The balloon ride itself is typically around an hour. Check our availability and book online here.
Sunrise and sunset are our favorite times to fly! The wind is typically the calmest then, which is why our Lancaster location has daily flights at those times (weather-dependent). Check our availability or book online here.
A typical flight will include 4-10 people. However, if you are interested in a private, romantic flight, we offer couples-only flights as well (just choose “Private Flight” when you book).
Typically, the weight capacity is around 1,000 pounds, but this can vary depending on size of the balloon. With over 30 years of balloon flying experience, LBR always operates within safe weight limits.
Prices may vary for a number of factors, such as time of year and day of the week, but at Lancaster Balloon Rides, our Shared Balloon Flight Ride starts at $275.00 per person, while Private Balloon Flights start at $895.00 per person.
